Hike from Hut to Hut in Wonderful Wipptal. Mighty mountains, lush meadows and cosy huts. This hike takes walkers all the way around the mountaineering village Gschnitztal Valley, a side valley of the Wipptal Valley, and demands good fitness, a head for hights and sure footing.

All in all it takes 6 or 9 days to complete and starts in Steinach am Brenner at the bottom station of the Bergeralm Bergbahn. From there you can either take the lift to the top (Noesslachjoch) or only to the Middle Station (Bergeralm) and start the tour.

This long distance hike takes you through the Stubai Alps to the impressive Tribulaun Massif, along sections of the Stubaier High Trail up onto the Padasterjoch ridge and to the foot of the mighty Blaser mountain. You stay in huts overnight. From each hut there is the option to descend down into the valley in case the weather is getting bad or you don’t feel comfortable.

This was a wonderful hike. What a scenery! Wipptal is such a spectacular landscape. As a hiker with moderate experience, this tour suited my level perfectly. The tour was very well organised, the huts were very comfortable and served great, solid food – just what we needed after a long day of hiking these beautiful trails.
